This Shipping Policy explains how Decords processes production, delivery, tracking, failed delivery and returned-to-sender shipments.
Production time
Orders are generally produced within 1–3 business days before dispatch. Custom, unusually large or technically complex orders may require additional production time. Any material change will be communicated to the customer where reasonably possible.
Free standard shipping
Decords offers free standard worldwide shipping with no minimum order where the destination is supported by the store. Free standard shipping means that no separate standard-delivery charge is added at checkout. Decords still pays the carrier to transport the shipment.
Free shipping covers the first standard shipment under normal delivery conditions. It does not include a new shipment, address correction, return-to-sender transport, storage or other additional carrier services required because of a delivery failure attributable to the customer.
Delivery estimates
- Standard delivery to the United States is generally estimated at 6–10 business days after dispatch.
- Priority delivery is generally estimated at 2–5 business days after dispatch where available.
- Delivery times for other destinations depend on the country, product and carrier service.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates. Customs processing, carrier disruptions, weather, incorrect address information and other events outside Decords’ reasonable control may cause delays.
United States: DDP shipping and no import charges on delivery
Orders delivered to the United States are shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Decords handles the required export and import customs declarations and prepays all applicable U.S. import duties, tariffs, import taxes, customs fees and customs-clearance costs.
The total shown at checkout is the final amount for the order. Customers in the United States will not be asked to pay additional import duties, tariffs, import taxes or customs charges when the order is delivered.
If a carrier requests payment of an import charge for a U.S. order, do not pay it. Contact info@decords.com with the order number and the carrier notice.
Other destinations: taxes, duties and customs
For destinations outside the United States, import taxes, duties, brokerage or local charges depend on the destination, applicable rules and the carrier service used. Amounts collected by Decords are shown during checkout where applicable. A customer should not assume that every destination or service is delivered-duty-paid unless this is expressly stated for the order.
Customs authorities and carriers can request additional information from the recipient. Failure to provide required information can delay or prevent delivery.
Address and contact information
The customer must provide a complete and accurate delivery address, email address and, where requested, telephone number. Contact Decords as soon as possible if any detail is incorrect. An address change cannot be guaranteed after production or dispatch.
Tracking and delivery attempts
Tracking information is sent when the selected service includes tracking. Customers should monitor tracking and promptly contact the carrier or Decords if a delivery exception is shown.
Depending on the carrier’s service rules, a shipment may be redirected to a nearby post office or pickup point after a delivery attempt. If the customer is informed through tracking, a carrier notification or a direct message from Decords, the customer must take reasonable steps to arrange delivery or collect the shipment within the carrier’s holding period.
Unclaimed, refused and undeliverable shipments
A shipment may be returned to Decords if:
- the address is incorrect or incomplete;
- delivery is refused;
- the recipient does not make reasonable arrangements after a delivery attempt; or
- the shipment is not collected from a designated pickup point within the carrier’s holding period after proper notification.
After the returned shipment is received, Decords may offer:
- reshipment after confirmation of the delivery details and payment of the actual new shipping cost; or
- a refund where available under applicable law or the Return & Refund Policy.
Costs caused by failed delivery
If the failed delivery is attributable to the customer, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, the customer is responsible for the actual and documented additional costs directly caused by that failure. These may include return-to-sender charges, address-correction charges, storage charges and, where legally permitted, the cost of the unsuccessful outbound shipment.
Such costs may be deducted from a voluntary or non-statutory refund or invoiced separately. Where a mandatory statutory right of withdrawal applies, the refund is calculated as required by applicable law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Carrier or Decords error
No failed-delivery or return-to-sender costs will be charged to the customer when the failure resulted from an error by Decords or the carrier. This includes an incorrect label created by Decords, a confirmed misdelivery, or the absence of a genuine required delivery attempt or required notification.
Lost or damaged shipments
If tracking indicates that a shipment may be lost, misdelivered or damaged in transit, contact info@decords.com with the order number and tracking number. Decords will investigate with the carrier and provide the remedy required by applicable law and store policy.
