Gradient stair riser stickers for a 13-step set
This listing contains 13 printed adhesive strips made for the vertical riser faces of an indoor staircase. Choose one of three gradient designs or request a custom colour gradient. Each set is produced to the measurements supplied for your stairs.
These are decorative riser decals. They are not intended for the horizontal stair treads, do not provide slip resistance and should not be installed where people step.

Installation tools and the staircase are not included. If your staircase has more or fewer than 13 risers, contact Decords before ordering so the required quantity and price can be confirmed.
Choose the width and pattern
Select the nearest stair width from 8 to 63 inches. The option helps determine the correct price range; it does not replace the exact measurements required for production.
- Gradient 1, 2 or 3: choose one of the colour arrangements shown in the product images.
- Custom Gradient: select this option and send the colours or colour references you want used.
After ordering, send the exact width and height of one riser, the total number of risers and any differences between individual steps. Production starts after the required dimensions and custom-colour details are confirmed.
Measure the staircase
- Measure only the vertical front face of each stair, not the horizontal tread.
- Measure the width at the top and bottom of the riser.
- Measure the height at the left, centre and right.
- Check whether every riser has the same dimensions.
- Record trim, overhangs, curved edges, gaps and other obstacles.
- Label any risers that require different sizes.
Do not assume that all steps in an existing staircase are identical. Accurate measurements are required for the gradient to align across the complete staircase.
Suitable surfaces
Apply the stickers to clean, dry, smooth, stable and compatible vertical riser surfaces. Dust, grease, wax, silicone, strong texture, loose paint, moisture and damaged coatings can reduce adhesion. Allow newly painted surfaces to cure according to the paint manufacturer’s instructions.
Test a discreet area when the finish is uncertain. Do not apply over loose coatings or where recurring moisture reaches the adhesive edges.
How to install the stair riser decals
- Lay out the complete set in the correct order before applying the first strip.
- Clean every riser using a residue-free method suitable for its finish.
- Position the first strip and confirm the gradient direction.
- Remove the backing gradually while smoothing from the centre toward the edges.
- Continue in sequence so the colour transition remains aligned.
- Inspect every edge before opening the staircase to normal use.
Use trimming tools only when the staircase finish and installation method allow safe cutting. Keep blades away from visible or delicate surfaces.

- Install the decals on vertical risers only.
- Do not cover the horizontal walking surface.
- Do not use the stickers as anti-slip material or safety marking.
- Remove or repair a strip if an edge lifts or creates a snagging risk.
