Care and installation requirements depend on the material and intended surface. Follow the product description and the instructions supplied with the order.
Before application:
- Use a clean, dry, stable and fully cured surface.
- Follow the paint manufacturer’s curing time. Paint that feels dry may not be fully cured.
- Test a small, discreet area when surface compatibility is uncertain.
Installation and cleaning:
- Apply without stretching the material and smooth it gradually.
- Some products can be repositioned during installation. This does not mean they can be stored and reused later.
- Use a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth only when the product instructions allow it. Avoid abrasive tools and strong solvents.
Removal:
- Lift an edge and peel slowly at a low angle.
- Use moderate warmth only when the product instructions allow it.
- Stop if paint, wallpaper or the underlying finish begins to lift.
Residue-free or damage-free removal cannot be guaranteed for every material, paint system or surface condition.

Description
This physical self-adhesive matte-black chalkboard vinyl creates a writable surface for menus, notes, schedules, labels and drawings. It is supplied as a blank decal in the selected size; custom printed text, chalk, markers, a rigid board and installation tools are not included.

Select the smallest listed tier that can contain the required finished dimensions. When a smaller exact fit is needed, send the order number and exact width × height. The finished decal must remain within the purchased area. This listing does not automatically include a different shape, printed logo or pre-written menu.
Custom-fit workflow
- Measure the usable installation area.
- Choose a listed size tier that contains the required finished size.
- Send the exact requested width and height after ordering.
- Confirm any crop, corner shape or special cut before production.
If no smaller custom dimensions are confirmed, production follows the selected listed size.
Large sizes and sections
Any dimension over approximately 39 inches (100 cm) can be produced in accurately aligned sections because of production and shipping limits. Dry-position every section before installation. Seams can remain visible at close range or under side lighting.
Writing tools and erasing
Ordinary dry chalk is the safest starting point. Test every chalk marker in a corner before using it across the full surface because marker formulas differ and some can leave ghosting or permanent staining. This is not a dry-erase whiteboard, magnetic board or rigid classroom panel.
The writing surface can be cleaned and written on repeatedly when used with compatible materials. That does not mean the adhesive decal itself is designed to be removed and reused on another wall.
Surface compatibility
Apply to a clean, dry, smooth, stable and fully cured surface. Strong texture, dust, moisture, porous material, loose paint, wax, silicone and stain-resistant coatings can reduce adhesion or show through the vinyl. Test a discreet area when the wall finish is uncertain.
Installation
- Clean the surface with a residue-free method and let it dry.
- Mark a level top edge and the complete outside boundary.
- Dry-position the decal and all supplied sections.
- Peel back a small part of the liner and apply gradually.
- Smooth outward without stretching the vinyl.
- Align following sections and press every edge firmly.
What is included
One blank matte chalkboard vinyl decal in the selected listed size or confirmed smaller exact fit, supplied in sections when required, plus application guidance. Chalk, chalk markers, erasers, frames, rigid backing, magnets and professional installation are not included.
Care and removal
Use a soft dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, blades and aggressive scrubbing. Let the surface dry fully before writing again. Remove the decal slowly at a low angle; residue-free and paint-safe removal cannot be guaranteed for every wall finish.
