Before application:
- Use a clean, dry, stable and fully cured surface.
- Follow the paint manufacturer’s curing time. Paint that feels dry may not be fully cured.
- Test a small, discreet area when surface compatibility is uncertain.
Installation and cleaning:
- Apply without stretching the material and smooth it gradually.
- Some products can be repositioned during installation. This does not mean they can be stored and reused later.
- Use a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth only when the product instructions allow it. Avoid abrasive tools and strong solvents.
Removal:
- Lift an edge and peel slowly at a low angle.
- Use moderate warmth only when the product instructions allow it.
- Stop if paint, wallpaper or the underlying finish begins to lift.
Residue-free or damage-free removal cannot be guaranteed for every material, paint system or surface condition.

This plain black adhesive vinyl sheet creates a writable surface for kitchen notes, shopping lists, family planning and children’s drawing areas. It is a flexible wall sticker rather than a rigid framed board.

Choose the correct size
Every option is 39 inches high. Select the required width from 16 to 197 inches. Measure the clear surface rather than the complete wall and exclude trim, switches, shelves, handles and other obstacles.
- Mark the selected width and 39-inch height with removable tape.
- Check that adults and children can reach the intended writing area safely.
- Confirm that doors, drawers and appliances can still open fully.
- For a very wide decal, plan whether another person will help position it.
Large widths may be supplied in accurately aligned sections because of production and shipping limits.
Writing tools and cleaning
Test the intended writing tool on a small corner before using the complete surface. Traditional dry chalk is generally the lowest-risk option. Liquid chalk markers and other pens can stain some writable vinyl surfaces and should be used only after a successful test. Do not use permanent markers.
Remove writing using the method suitable for the tested tool and material. Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents and excessive water around the sticker edges.
Suitable surfaces
Apply the sticker to a clean, dry, smooth, stable and compatible indoor surface. Dust, grease, wax, silicone, strong texture, weak paint, moisture and damaged coatings can reduce adhesion. Allow fresh paint to cure according to the paint manufacturer’s instructions.
Test a discreet area when the wall, cabinet, door or appliance finish is uncertain. Do not apply over peeling paint or recurring dampness.
How to install the chalkboard sticker
- Clean the surface using a residue-free method suitable for its finish.
- Mark a level top edge and the outer dimensions.
- Position the sticker before removing the complete backing.
- Apply gradually while smoothing from the centre toward the edges.
- Inspect the surface for trapped air and check every edge.
- Wait for the stated settling period before writing or cleaning.
Care and removal
Wipe the surface gently and keep abrasive cleaners away from it. Removal behaviour depends on the adhesive, installation period, temperature and condition of the underlying finish. Remove slowly and test delicate paint before lifting the complete sheet.
